I really haven't heard of any of these people.But it dosn't mean they suck alot of good records don,t get recognition which is sad.But my favorite so far is ROCKFERRY by DUFFY.

I have to agree with damianx, if these artist were any good they would play them. And mister MTVJams the fact that you say you haven't really got a chance to listen to them how we can’t take you serious? Its like saying... yea i saw Kobe or Chris Paul on sportscenter i am gonna say they are the best basketball players out there. Truthfully i haven't listen to any of these albums and i don’t listen to enough to tell you who has the best i just find it funny that everytime these "best of the field" lists comes out you have a few if any top selling artist.. and yes just cuz they sell a lot dosn't mean there good but in any other industry isnt the one who makes the most or gets the farthest the best? You don't see the celtics as an honorable mention for the best teams of the year do you? Maybe these albums are good, maybe there not either way you cant listen to critics cuz when it comes down to it in the end its all opinion. And when your top opinion (The Hold Steady) hasn’t even gone platinum (meaning 1 million people have the same opinion) and Lil Wayne gets over 1 million positive opinions in one week...I'd say your just trying to get us to buy some weak ass albums for some "cool" guys you met. now give me a job HA

I can respect the list in the fact that even though Lil Wayne pushed units, that doesn't automatically equate to a good [great if we're talking best of the year so far] album. I'm just glad he peeped game and New Amerykah made the list. Bravo!
well, wayne's album is equal to deerhunter's only in the sense that i haven't really got a chance to really listen to either, though i think both are great, which is why i put them in the 'honorable mentions' category.
Is this guy serious? Yea i know people have herd of these albums but really how much people? and Tha Carter III just an Honorable Mention...
